After the Trial of your Faith

July 27, 2015

This week was a little rough. Sister Davis got sick earlier this week, so we didn't do much tracting and didn't follow our plans very well. Also, things kept falling through, so that made it more difficult. We were losing our motivation and energy since we were inside a lot this week, and we were also becoming really frustrated with how challenging this area is. The people are pretty receptive and are really nice to us, but nothing has come of it yet. when we were weekly planning, it took us FOREVER because we had no idea what to do since we have just one person to teach (as well as a few Less actives), and we had a lot of time to spare. Our miles are also disappearing really quick for this month, so we can't do much tracting in areas because everywhere that's in walking distance has been tracted recently by previous sisters. We were just really discouraged. But, on saturday, we were able to go out and work and contact some LA in the ward and do some lightning visits with members, and contact a referral from a LA member we teach. Let's just say, after we trusted in the Lord and relied on Him to help us do the work, so many miracles happened on Saturday!! Everyone was super nice to us, we got to know some memebers and LA really well (which helps us have more encouragement with building our relationship with the ward, since it's not the greatest at the moment) and we found 2 new investigators!!! It was the referal we got and they were former investigators and they welcomed us in and asked for a lesson. We werent expecting that at all!! But, it turned out really well, and they offered to take us to the JSM (Joseph Smith Memorial) in the next week or so!! So Sweet!!

Miracles really do happen, and tough times don't last forever. We just need to exercise our faith, and put our trust in the lord and we will be blessed.

Keep P.U.S.H.ing!
